COMMUNICATIONS Te-vthe women of Polk-County whc^p.ve extra pine trees on their farms: On Thursday was held the first Polk County Christmas Greens Market. It was a big success, but we could have sold three times as much pine. People who don't own any pine trees, love to* have at Christmas some pretty branches of pine trees with cones on them. The branches should measure from one foot to three feet in length, should have attractive growth and shape. If you are interested in selling some pine at next year’s market, please speak to Mr. Cul berson and Mrs. Shaw or drop a card to Box 1461, Tryon. Arrangements can be made for your individual pricing of the pieces you sell. Each person or group keeps its own profit. There’s a big demand for green pine wreaths. ^ If you can make wreaths or ^would be interested in learning 'how to make them), please let us know. We- can teach you. When you are walking in your woods or pasture and happen,to see a pretty green spray, just remember where it is until next December when you can send it to the Christ mas Greens Market. We all had a nice time as well as a successful one this year, and «would be glad to have you to join us next year.
